Repeat Customer via SynTech. For 1+3 = four months during COVID-19 Year, 2020, I worked on-site with NRL in Washington DC on Adaptive Optical Systems for Lasers. This involved updating and calibrating a commercial AO platform, then modifying it extensively with their unique hardware and software algorithms.  Not an unusual scenario for consulting AO work. I helped them get back on track and achieve their goals for 2020.  I drove thousands of miles in my car across the country to avoid COVID-19 exposure and protect the team.

Long-Time Repeat Customer over 20 years.  I've spent 1-8 weeks at a time each trip to the NPS Adaptive Optics Center Of Excellence where I've taken on numerous challenging projects.  Most recently I created an AI Training System capable of imaging through a HEL Tracker/Projector System a number of mechanically manipulated 3D printed target drones.  Designed Beam Train, installed Turbulence Generators, built drone manipulator, wrote code to collect data. Another recent project was to use multiple laser metrology to cophase multiple telescope elements to white-light tolerances, increasing optical resolution in the sparse array.  Another project involved ATP, shining lasers and relaying them to moving targets.  And Fast Steering Mirrors and high speed Video Trackers were developed for the NPS for many tracking/stabilization uses. So many advanced projects, you may have seen them on a tour if you've ever visited the NPS. Over and over I was able to put a plan together and achieve amazing results. If you want to learn more about the benefits of my services, get in touch.

Repeat customer for many years.  From numerical analysis to building the inertially stabilized Extended Range Fast Steering Mirror for Remote Iris Imaging and Identification, and Advanced Optical Photodiode Transimpedance Amplifiers and tiny embedded lock-in amplifiers for collecting and processing Optical Remote Wind Speed Sensing data, It's been a productive set of technical challenges that made me a better engineer.  Let me know what I can do for you, don't hesitate to contact me today.

First through Boeing, then as Baker Adaptive Optics after 2014, I've supported AFRL since 1988.  From Superconductors Research to AO imaging to pointing and tracking experiments to being lead engineer for the development and construction of both of the multi-million dollar FASOR 50W Sodium Guidestar Sources for the AMOS Space Force Space Debris Imaging and the SOR Space Imaging Research facilities, I've done and learned so much.  Check out "Digital Feedback Controls for the Multiple Simultaneous Ring Cavities in the FASOR-X System" Jeffrey T. Baker, et. al. for a fun read. I still maintain the Maui System currently in use.
